Lisa Hipwell RMT

I was born and raised on a farm in Virden, Manitoba and have always been in active pursuit of human health and performance. I grew up training in different sports and have remained active my whole life enjoying outdoor activities. I moved to Thunder Bay in 2008 where I found my passion for massage therapy and enrolled in the massage therapy program in 2010. I have developed a deep understanding of the human body, its physical form, function, and recovery. I believe inner peace, natural food, movement, alignment, and spending time in nature are the truest of medicines.
I graduated from the Massage Therapy program in 2012. In my practice I use various techniques to release tissue, mobilize joints, reduce inflammation, and help structural alignment and posture. I enjoy explaining the anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics to you so you have a clear understanding of treatment and how the body heals. I have taken additional courses on aromatherapy, yoga, and therapeutic exercise to help incorporate new techniques into my treatments.

When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my husband and three daughters. Some of my favourite past times are gardening, hiking with our dogs, baking, cooking, practicing yoga, and spending time outside!

I am an active member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario.

I am glad to be a part of your health care team!
